What actually drives the price of a mobile welding job.
We do not publish rates, minimums, or dollar figures — every job is different. But the things that drive the price are the same every time, and most of them show up in a photo. Here they are.
The factors

These are the real variables. When you send a photo, we can see most of them at once.
Travel distance
How far we have to roll the truck to you. Inside Stark County is close; the further out into the surrounding counties, the more drive time. We are honest about this — it is a real part of a mobile job.
Access to the machine
Can we get a truck to it? A break in an open yard is one thing; a crack inside a tight plant, down a pit, or behind other equipment is another. Access changes how long the job takes.
The metal
Steel, aluminum, stainless, and cast each take a different filler, a different procedure, and a different amount of prep. Cast, in particular, is slower and riskier than plate.
The welding position
Flat welding is fastest. Vertical, overhead, and in-position welding on equipment that cannot be moved takes longer and demands the right qualification. We are qualified to AWS D1.1 and D1.2, all positions.
Prep and cleanup
A crack has to be ground out to sound metal and beveled before we weld, and the area has to be cleaned up after. Dirty, rusty, or painted steel takes longer to prep than clean plate.
Whether it has to come apart
Some repairs need disassembly before we can weld — guards off, components moved, the break exposed. That is labor on top of the weld itself, and we tell you before we start.
After-hours call-out
The time of day you call is one of the things that drives the price. A 2am emergency call-out is not the same as a weekday job. We do not publish rates — call for a real number.

1. You send a photo
A clear photo of the break — close enough to see the crack, and far enough to see where it is on the machine. That tells us the metal, the thickness, the position, and the access.
2. We tell you what it will take
If the repair is straightforward, we quote it from the photo. If it needs prep, disassembly, or a closer look, we tell you that plainly before we roll — no surprises.
3. You decide
You know the price and the plan before we strike an arc. If it is an emergency, we roll. If you are just getting a price, you have it. Either way, the owner answered the phone personally.
