What we take on — and what we refuse, by choice.
Being told what a contractor will not do is what makes the rest of the page believable. Here is both.
What we take on
Confined space work
We take on confined space welding — work inside spaces that are not designed for someone to be in, but that have to be entered to reach the weld. That includes hoppers, pits, tanks that have been cleaned and opened for repair, and similar enclosed structures where a crack or a worn section has to be fixed in place.
Confined space work is slower and more careful than open work. It means planning the entry, the access, the air, and the way out before anyone picks up a torch. We do that planning, and we do the work — when the space can be made safe to enter.
We take on:
Hoppers, pits, opened and cleaned tanks, and similar confined structures where the space can be made safe to enter and the weld has to happen in place.
What we don't do
We do not take tanker work.
We do not take tanker work — the inside repair of tanker trailers and tanks that have carried flammable or hazardous cargo. Not because we cannot weld, but because the risk and the liability are not worth it, to us or to you.
A tanker that has held fuel, chemicals, or anything flammable can carry residual vapor in its seams and voids for a long time after it is "empty." Striking an arc inside one is a specific, high-risk category of work that calls for its own procedures, its own cleaning and testing, and its own insurance posture. We have chosen not to take that category on.
That is a choice, not a limitation we are hiding. If you have a tanker that needs internal welding, we will tell you plainly that it is not our work, and we will not take your money to do it badly.
We do not take:
Tanker work — internal welding on tanker trailers and tanks that have carried flammable or hazardous cargo. The risk and liability are not worth it, by choice.
Why we tell you this
A contractor who tells you what they won't do is one you can trust on what they will.
We are qualified to AWS D1.1 and AWS D1.2, all positions. We take confined space work when it can be made safe. We do not take tanker work, ever. If you have a job and you are not sure whether it is ours, call — we will tell you plainly, before we roll.
